Award winning international charity AMAR, called for an International solidarity and made an urgent appeal towards helping displaced people in Iraqi IDP camps.
The highly respectable International Charity, reminded everyone that ‘Displaced people are among the most vulnerable to COVID19 anywhere. AMAR healthcare teams are working around the clock to prevent an outbreak in Iraqi IDP camps, where they care for tens of thousands of displaced Yazidis’.
AMAR is an award winning charity that builds and improves the lives and livelihoods of some of the world’s poorest and most disadvantaged people.
For more than 27 years, the charity members have provided professional healthcare, education and training on a sustained and lasting basis.
AMAR’s locally educated and trained professionals and volunteers have delivered more than 10 million medical consultations.
AMAR runs Public Health Care Centres for tens of thousands of Yazidi people, whom were displaced in 2014 when the invasion by the so-called Islamic State forced millions from their homes.
More than two years since ISIS was ousted, the highly respectable charity’s valuable work continues to improve the lives of the victims, whom are scarred both physically and mentally.
AMAR is also a leading advocate in the campaigns to combat religious discrimination and to prevent sexual violence in conflict.
