PRINCETON, N.J. – August XX, 2020 – ThirdEye, a leader in augmented and mixed reality enterprise solutions, today announces a new partnership in Turkey with Başkan Savunma İnc. Company, a country leader in implementing leading technology solutions. ThirdEye is set to distribute and potentially open an office in Turkey following Turkish President Erdoğan’s vision of turning Turkey into a leading technology player and a “Smart-Country” and the Turkish parliament's approval last month of new rules for the use of leading technologies
“By partnering with a leader in Augmented Reality like ThirdEye, we aim to fulfill President Erdogan’s vision of making Turkey a “smart-country” and using AR for defense, firefighter, education, field service and many other use cases we can distribute into. ThirdEye deploying its solutions in Turkey through Baskan Suvunma here shows that Turkey is becoming a target country for leading technologies. The X2 AR smart glasses could help Turkish Defense and health and all government departments as well as other sectors such as education, telecom and entertainment.
” – Zeren Tumerkan, founder of Baskan.
Through this partnership, ThirdEye aims to bring the benefits of Augmented Reality to Turkey primarily in its Defence, First Responder, Education and field service use cases with deployments planned in the thousands over the next few years. This comes after ThirdEye’s successful deployments of its HealthEye First Responder Software in the United States with Crozer Medical System. By wearing the X2 MR Glasses, a paramedic in the field can directly contact a doctor for assistance through the glasses. The doctor can then live-stream video from the scene (provided through the glasses) to be displayed on a computer or television at the hospital via the MR Workspace Platform – this allows the doctor to assess a patient and make treatment recommendations without ever having face-to-face contact.
Simultaneously, the doctor can share the patient’s medical history and other pertinent information directly on the first responder’s X2 MR Glasses lens. Whether they’re assisting a car accident victim, someone having a heart attack or a person with COVID-19 symptoms, first responders can access patient data securely, add information to their records and take temperatures through thermal sensing. The thermal sensor on the X2 MR Glasses is especially helpful amid the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing doctors and first responders to check for elevated temperatures without the need for physical contact. On the Defense/Military side, the Turkish military aims to utilize ThirdEye AR for field training and secure communication. ThirdEye smart glasses are actively being used by
At just 300 grams, ThirdEye’s X2 MR Glasses are the lightest mixed reality glasses on the market and are suited for comfortable, extensive wear in all conditions. The glasses run on Android 9.0 and are powered by a Snapdragon xR1 Qualcomm processor chip. ThirdEye also developed custom augmented reality first responder software via its RespondEye app, which connects to the EMS backend systems and displays custom EMS protocols. This software combined with ThirdEye’s HIPAA certification enables first responders to access all of their data immediately and safely via the X2 MR Glasses.
ThirdEye has achieved HIPAA certification for its X2 MR Glasses and MR Workspace Platform, making it the first all-in-one HIPAA certified smart glasses and software solution on the market. HIPAA compliance is a requirement for vendors that handle any patient medical data as it ensures security of the patient’s information as well as confidentiality. With this certification, ThirdEye’s X2 MR Glasses and MR Workspace Platform can handle transmitting data from an EMS ambulance frontline worker to a doctor at Crozer-Keystone Health System.
